2024.1.2 - Another one!

Hi everyone! I’m releasing another small update for Pivotal. While the internal changes have been quite big (and have made me despise Unity even more), you ideally won’t notice much. The update contains the following:

• One additional level: Dark Fortress
  • This level is a remake of a level from an older version of Pivotal. There’s a lot of levels like this that I can port, so look forward to a lot more content soon :3
• Standalone builds for Windows!
  • This will be an ongoing process, as I don’t really own a Windows machine
  • macOS and Linux may see builds at a later date, but you can use something like Whisky or Proton to run the Windows build
• New accessibility feature: Longer-lasting trails
  • This helps with remembering where you’ve been in larger levels (Gauntlet, Dark Fortress)
• Updated game speed slider
  • Scales from 0.33x to 2x (originally 0.5x to 1x)
  • Records now record the slowest speed that was used in gameplay
• Updated the appearance of portals to make their function clear
  • Blue portals always teleport the player now
  • Red portals (new) serve as exit portals
  • Levels no longer have unique portals
• Smoothed out transitions between game and menu
• Reworked internal structure of game to facilitate a super secret feature that I’ll talk about later :3
• Added more pride backgrounds to further the gay agenda
  • Includes intersex, agender, aroace, aromantic, asexual, pansexual, genderqueer, and genderfluid flags.
  • This is in addition to the following flags added in 2024.1:
    • Six-color pride flag
    • Lesbian flag
    • Gay (MLM) flag
    • Bisexual flag
    • Transgender flag
    • Nonbinary flag
  • If anyone can recommend to me any good polyamory or polyspec flags (or any other pride flags that you think would be a good fit), let me know!

The 2024.2 update will still be out by the middle of July (when the Queer Games Bundle ends), so look forward to that!
