Triz is a puzzle game that challenges the player to think outside of the box - or, rather, triangle. Players are free to rotate triangles in hexagon-shape patterns but must flip the entire board of triangles to one color by the same hexagons. How fast can you solve your puzzles?

(This game was submitted as part of Global Game Jam 2022. This is a slightly updated version with some changes to enhance the game.)

A fun little puzzle game, I would be curious as to what the least number of total moves for each board is, but it seems that each time you reset a board, the pieces are randomly generated. I would personally love a series of designed levels that are simpler, but require you to figure out the least number of moves.

I also believe that some puzzles are entirely impossible to solve. It seems that if a board  generates with an odd number of triangles, you will never be able to entirely fill in the board, as you can only take out or add in an even number of triangles.

I was mistaken, as the developer has pointed out. ðŸ˜…

Hey - thank you for playing Triz! I really appreciate the feedback. You are correct in that puzzles are randomly generated, which was a limitation we faced making the game during the jam. However, there is a way to solve puzzles with an odd number of triangles!

You can position your cursor to a spot like this and be able to affect an odd number of triangles, so it’s not entirely impossible. Probably not the best way to do it, but it’s possible!
